Wow

In one week, I went from
the most depressed I have ever been
to the happiest I've ever been

In one week I went from
being suicidal
to loving life for every flaw

In one week I went from
being considered the biggest jerk
to being considered the sweetest guy

Man, I know the true meaning of a rocky road...
But, I'm elated, happy, ecstatic, joyous
Versus being deflated, sad, depressed, dejected
I'm glad, are you?

Today, I went to my sister's debate competition at Fairmont Prep Academy
And, on the wall, there were three good poems.
It took a while to type these up on my iPod, but I think all three are inspiring.



What do you do when you cannot sleep?
Snuggle up in bed until you doze off?
Or get sick and just sneeze and cough?
The best thing to do is...
Is cuddle a stuffed animal for you to keep
And never open your eyes for another peep

What do you do when you're down and sad?
Seclude yourself from everybody else?
Or go to the store where chocolate smells?
The best thing to do...
Is stay positive and keep your head up
For tomorrow morning the sun will come up to say "what's up?"

What do you do when you're in love?
Give up and never think about it again?
Write a letter with a pencil or pen?
The best thing to do is...
Is follow your heart
Because falling in love is always the best part.
